Fiberlogy FiberSmooth Red is a PVB filament that can be finished smoothly with Isopropanol alcohol (IPA).
With Fiberlogy FiberSmooth Red, you can 3D print the most beautifully finished objects. Fiberlogy FiberSmooth is a material based on Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB). After printing, you can completely smooth it out with Isopropanol, also known as isopropyl alcohol or IPA. Submerge the model in the liquid or use the vapors, and the filament will partially dissolve. As a result, the outer contours will blend together and the layers will fade. At the same time, the entire model will have a porcelain-like, glossy surface.
3D printing with FiberSmooth is similar to PLA. It is a beginner-friendly material and perfect for both beginners and experienced professionals. However, keep in mind that the adhesion between the layers is weaker. Therefore, we recommend printing at a higher bed temperature to prevent model warping. PVB has low shrinkage and is odorless.
