How to request a quote

Three steps to your quote

You don't have to be a 3D expert. Tell us what you need, add whatever you already have, and we work out the rest.

Don't have a file yet? Printables, Thingiverse and MakerWorld all have thousands of ready-made STL and 3MF models.

About 3 minutes of work · free and without obligation

What can we make for you?

Describe as clearly as you can what we should make for you.

1 Line 1

Need several parts or designs at once? Add them to the same request here. For a single job, just continue to the next step.

We review every request manually. Submitting does not create a payment or purchase obligation.

No printable model yet?

No problem. Mechanical design can be added as a separate quote line. Include photos, a sketch and the most important dimensions.

How it works

Personally reviewed, clearly confirmed

  1. 1Submit your request

Describe the part and add photos or drawings.

  2. 2Technical review

We check material, manufacturability and any design hours.

  3. 3Order confirmation

You receive the price, lead time and terms by email and PDF, excluding shipping.

  4. 4Approve online

After signing you choose pickup or delivery and pay securely online. We then schedule production.

Who it is for

For a single part, and for thousands

The same printers, the same materials and the same personal review, whether you need something once or want to hand over production every week.

  • A one-off partA snapped clip, a replacement lever or a gift you cannot buy anywhere. You do not need a printer of your own for a single piece: send us your model or a photo with measurements and you get a price for exactly that one part.
  • Prototype or small runYou are developing something and want to hold it in your hands first. We print prototypes, moulds, jigs and short runs, so you can refine the design before you invest at scale.
  • Large business quantitiesHundreds of identical parts, inlays, display material or components you need on a recurring basis. We fix the material, the settings and the price, so every repeat order matches the last one.
  • Extra capacity for print businessesAlready running production and hitting the limits of your own capacity or a deadline? We print alongside you as an extension of your print farm, to your material and quality agreements, and without ever coming between you and your customer.

Do not see your situation here? Just describe what you need in plain language, even without a 3D file. We look at it personally and tell you honestly whether it can be done.

Prefer to talk it through first? For custom work, unusual materials or a larger project you can always email us at info@3dfanshop.com.

Up to 8 colours in one printA model in several colours or materials is printed in one go, with no glueing. Supply a 3MF with the colours already assigned and the form asks for a roll per colour.

Frequently asked questions

All about our 3D printing service

  • What does it cost to have something 3D printed?

The price depends on the size of your part, the material, the layer height and the quantity. We work at very competitive rates and always make a tailored quote, free and without obligation. Upload an STL or 3MF file and the form shows you the print time and a price indication straight away.

  • How quickly will I have my part?

We deliver fast. Exactly how long it takes depends on size, quantity and material, so the lead time is stated in the quote you receive. If you are in a hurry, say so in your request.

  • Which materials can I choose?

PLA, PETG and PCTG for most work, ABS and ASA when it has to handle heat or weather, nylon PA12 for mechanical parts, PP and flexible filament for parts that need to give. Plus fibre-reinforced variants with carbon or glass fibre. Not sure what fits? Describe what the part has to do and we will advise you.

  • How large can my part be?

Up to 300 x 300 x 330 mm per piece. If yours is just too big, send us a message: it can sometimes be printed in sections and bonded afterwards.

  • Which files can I submit?

An STL or 3MF file is the most practical, because it lets us calculate print time and a price indication right away. If you do not have one, photos, a sketch or a technical drawing with the main dimensions are fine too.

  • I have no 3D model. Can you design one?

Yes. We design mechanical parts in Fusion. The design work appears as a separate line on your quote, so you see exactly what the printing costs and what the designing costs.

  • Can you print large production runs?

Yes, from a single piece to thousands. The same printers, the same materials and the same personal review, whether it is a one-off part or weekly production. If your own print farm is short on capacity, we can take that on.

  • How accurate will the print be?

You set that with the layer height. Finer gives more detail and a smoother surface but takes more print time, coarser is faster and cheaper. We look at what makes sense per part and put it in the quote.

  • Am I committing to anything by sending a request?

No. A request is free and without obligation. You receive the quote by email, and we only start producing once you sign it digitally.

  • Can you print in several colours or materials?

Yes. Our multi-material printer holds 8 rolls at once, so a model in several colours comes off the plate in one piece, with no glueing. Supply it as a 3MF with the colours already assigned to an extruder: the form reads them and asks which roll you want for each. Multi-colour work is priced by hand, because the number of colour changes decides the cost. You get the price and lead time by email.
