We have brought our range fully up to strength again. Where in recent times we had to deal with shortages of raw materials for PLA filament because of the coronavirus crisis, the first signs of the market recovering seem to be coming through again. We have always been in close contact with Fiberlogy, and they have put in a great deal of work to be able to keep supplying 3D Fanshop with all types of filament. All in all we have not had any major problems or shortages in the range, so with one exception virtually everything could be shipped within a day. In fact, at the time of writing we now have everything in the shop amply in stock (apart from a few refill spools), including Fiberlogy Easy PLA.
Opportunities for our filament range
It has also given us opportunities. Because by thinking ahead we have been able to expand the range considerably in a short time, so as to be able to offer alternatives should a product unexpectedly turn out to be unavailable after all. You recently read in our blog that we have added the complete product line of Fiberlogy FiberSilk Metallic.
New Fiberlogy FiberSilk Metallic colours
Another 2 beautiful colours with a silky metallic sheen have recently been added to this. Namely FiberSilk Anthracite and the colour FiberSilk Brass. With this addition the Fiberlogy FiberSilk range now consists of no fewer than 18 colours! All available colours are in stock and if you order them before 18:00 they will be shipped the very same day.
Fiberlogy Refill Easy PETG Pure Transparent
Alongside the new silk filaments, a new Fiberlogy Refill Easy PETG version has also been developed and immediately taken into our range. It concerns the colour (or actually the very absence of colour) Fiberlogy Refill Easy PETG Pure Transparent. A transparent PETG filament as a refill that you can wind onto the Masterspool, which can be printed yourself and can be found on Thingiverse.
Wood filament in 5 colours
We now have all available colours of wood filament from Fiberlogy in stock. These are Fiberlogy FiberWood in the colours Natural, White, Black, Brown and Carmine (reddish). That way you can print the most beautiful wooden objects as decoration for your interior or, for example, for a chess board for the evening hours. The possibilities for combining are endless.
100% recycled Fiberlogy R PLA filament for sustainable printing
We have also tinkered with our already extensive PLA range. Alongside the many types of Fiberlogy Easy PLA we have now added a sustainable version too. You can find this filament under the heading PLA by the name Fiberlogy R PLA. It is 100% developed from recycled material and is available in the colour Anthracite.
Last but not least (for now), the water-soluble Fiberlogy BVOH
When you have to make very complicated prints requiring a lot of supports, and you need to be able to remove those supports easily, you can now opt for Fiberlogy BVOH. This is a filament that dissolves in water. No more fussing about with breaking away your supports, which risks causing damage. You will also no longer have the ugly structures you sometimes come across underneath regular supports. Do note that you need a dual extruder for this filament. An MMU2S from Prusa, for example, is very suitable. This technical filament is of the highest quality. Available in a natural colour on a 0.5 kg spool.
And more filament versions are coming.
If you look at what our range consisted of when we started and compare it with now, you will see that literally dozens of products, colours and versions have been added. And with an A-brand like Fiberlogy this will only keep expanding. We like to listen to what is going on in the 3D community, so if you have a request for a particular type of filament, or if you have questions about which filament is best suited to your project, do not hesitate and feel free to get in touch.
If you are still going on holiday: have a lovely holiday and lots of fun. Stay safe — and otherwise you can enjoy our products to the full during your staycation.
